Roles and Responsibilities: Solaris Admin, Unix Admin, Unix Admin, Shell scripting, UNIX Server Volume Manager Skill & Job Requirements: - - >Unix Admin( L1) - Candidates should have worked in Unix / Linux Platforms like Solaris, HP UX, AIX and Red Hat Linux. Should have Administrative experience in Unix like UserManagement, Process & Daemon Management, Softwares ( Patches & Packages) Management. Should have worked in installing/ Updating drivers & device filesfor devices like HBAs. Should have worked with Filesystems like creatingFilesystems, Identifying the utilization of Filesystems, Filesystem Exporting & Mounting and device path monitoring. Should have worked on File & Directoriespermissions. Knowledge on Performance and Volume Manager is preferred. Knowledgeof VI Editor, Crontab, User communication and networking tools - - >Unix Admin( L2) - Canditates should have worked in Unix/ Linux Platforms like Solaris, HP- UX, AIXand Red Hat Linux. Should have Administrative expereince in Unix like UserManagement, Process & Daemon Management, Softwares ( Patches & Packages) Management. Should have worked on Filesystems like Filesystems, Exporting & Mounting FileSystems, Recovering Filesystem Errors and Device Path Management. Should have worked on File Permissions. Should have worked on Performanceissues, Volume Managers & clusters. Knowledge of Disk Space Management, Performing user administration, performing System securit, configuring networkfile system and Auto FS. - - >Shell scripting( L2) - [Advanced Shell Scripting] - Development of Scripts for complex Data parsing, Analysis and Report generation - Development of Scripts for Disk monitoring, Network load tracking & management . [System Administration] - Advanced UNIX user space commands ( archival/ restore, SCM, cron etc ) - Filesystem Partitioning, Installations, Mount, System/ Data center backups - System Monitoring and Diagnostics, Recovering from crashes, Performance tuning - - >UNIX Server Volume Manager( L1) - Concepts, understanding and hands on in managing ofUNIX Volume Manager technologies such as Veritas Volume Manager, Sun Volume Manager, Logial Volume Manager. - - >Solaris Admin( L2) - H/ W Console Administration, Log file administration, Disk Administration, SystemStartup troubleshooting Software Deployment and Administration, Shell / Perlscripting with respect to OS admin ( not app support) Server PartitionAdministration, Scheduling system tasks, Managing system performance, Systemaccounting, Network Connectivity Administration, Network MultipathingAdministration, OS Installation , OS Upgrades , Disk Layout configuration ? The individual can handle issues with lot more independance and can suggest and implement services improvements plans. Incumbent indentifies and highlights scope of automation to lead or Managers.
