Vendor Payments Systems (VPS) team in Amazon's Global Financial Systems Org is set-up in Hyderabad, India in 2007 and has grown over the years, and today, complete Vendor Payments Systems team is owned and executed from Hyderabad. Billions of transactions that are handled in this space give us a unique opportunity to innovate on both technology and business front and helps to improve free cash flows of company. As we continue to deliver innovation and deliver enhanced capabilities for our business users, we are in the process creating next generation portal framework/platform for providing self-service tools. We are looking for a highly technical, self-motivated and passionate development manager to lead the team of developers for building internal and external facing portals for our core business.
The ideal candidate will draw upon exemplary analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills, deep software development management experience, and a passion for creating maintainable, highly reliable and scalable applications. Successful members of this group collaborate effectively with internal customers, other dependent technical teams in Amazon and technical support teams to develop new applications successfully against high operational standards of system availability and reliability.
Basic Qualifications
Substantive experience in building innovative and complex software. Strong technical credentials, with at least 5+ years of development experience and 2+ years leading/managing software development teams.
Hands-on experience of developing large scale, customer focused web based applications.
A record of hiring of strong technical and operations team members and leaders.
Strong technical leadership with excellent business acumen. Is right a lot and exercises good judgment in both technology and business situations.
Maniacal customer obsession and excellent expectation management abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven record of innovation and thought leadership.
Bachelor's or a Masters Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent required.
