Job Description  
Job Summary:
As a Human Resources Business Partner you work with senior management and NetApp staff to define and execute HR Strategies in support of business objectives. You implement defined strategies at the business unit or division level by developing integrated HR plans. May focus on specific areas of expertise or provide broad-based support and leadership to specific client groups or geographic regions. 

Essential Functions:
- Translate current and future business needs into an overall integrated strategic HR plan. 
- Lead management in organizational assessment and diagnosis to revise business strategies into actions that deliver results. 
- Provide demonstrated change management leadership.
- Resolve employee relations issues through a systematic approach.
- Assist Senior Management in the development of solutions through cultural and process perspective organizational development.
- Develop, deliver, and drive company-wide programs and initiatives, including but not limited to:
Compensation and performance review programs
Long term and short term variable compensation
Benefits planning and administration
Affirmative action and compliance
Employee relations
Workforce planning
Employee training and development
Organizational Change
- Participate in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department achievments in relation to established goals. 
- Write position descriptions, benefit brochures and employee handbooks, or other communications.
- Conduct research and analyzes data on assigned projects.
- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

In your role, you focus on the following areas: 

- Strategic Business Partner: Catalyst and process facilitator for the creation of business strategies. Add strategic value as the expert people advisor and strategist. 
- Change Leader: Anticipate the need for change and influence change before a crisis or inflection point arrives. Develop own vision for the future of the business; set the change direction by influencing others to take action toward a new future. Consciously strive to build networks of support for change goals and objectives. 
- Consultant: See and clearly articulate the root cause of poor organization performance. Influence the thinking and actions of the Senior Management Team. 
- Organizational Developer: Focus on building organization capability for competitive advantage. Make leadership supply and organization transformation a business priority and capability. 
- HR Expert: Apply experience in a broad range of HR technical areas (talent management, total compensation, leadership bench strength, organization design, etc.) Design and implement HR solutions to achieve business success and enhance organizational capability. Leverage and align services across the HR system and external partners to ensure end-to-end HR service delivery. 
- Program management and communication: Roll-out new HR programs and create and communicate benefits to employees. 
- Other tasks and duties as required.

Education & Experience:
- A minimum of 12 years of experience is required. 
- A Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree is required, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
- Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
- Excellent planning and organization skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. 
- Demonstrated project and time management skills. 
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel). 
- Experience working with HR database.
- Strong and proven analytical skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas. 
- Use judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.

Responsibility and Interaction:
Responsibility: 
- The tasks this individual is responsible for are often unstructured, have wide implications and there are multiple outcomes. 
- This individual will apply broad expertise or unique technical/industry knowledge in solving problems that are unique and extremely complex given time, budget and resource constraints.
- Demonstrate leadership and vision in determining and driving strategy decisions. 

Interaction: 
- This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, across functions and with external parties. 
- Limited supervision is provided, as this individual can operate, drive results, and set priorities independently. 
- The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert.
- To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through leadership and influencing multiple individuals and groups.
- Often acts as mentor or facilitator.
