Engagement Overview:
- Technology Engineering is a product engineering centric organization within United Helath Group, which focuses on development of healthcare products using PDLM & other prevailing industry standard techniques.- An information and technology- enabled Health Service Platform- Our goal: help make the health care system work better for everyone- Backed by the resources of UnitedHealth Group...but not a health insurance provider- Works with multiple payers: UHC, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, healthfirst, Amerigroup & BCBS
This position's responsibility will include Database Design Activities including Database Modeling associated with DB2 Database Management as well as the Administration of DB2 Databases. Experience using the Erwin Data Modeling tool is considered a plus. Experience with Q- Replication and HADR setup and Administration of HADR in conjunction with DB2 is also considered a plus.
Responsibilities:
- 5+ years of Database Administration (Development and Operational) using DB2 with DPF in a Distributed environment using AIX as the Operating System.- Support the development teams with design, implementation and performance tuning of new and existing applications.- 5+ Data Modeling (Physical) experience- Intermediate proficiency with MS Visio- Experience with Data Warehouses and/ or Data Marts desirable- Experience with Q- Replication and HADR setup and Administration of HADR in conjunction with DB2 is also considered a plus.
Desired Profile Skills:
- Must have BE/ B. Tech/ MCA Degree.- Must possess 7 years of IT Experience.- Must have 5 Years of Experience as Oracle or Teradata DBA.- Must have excellent written/ Verbal communication.- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
