Job Description
Find suitable potential authors for committed titles and within key topic areas where Packt plans to publish a range of titles.
Find authors for committed titles (books that Packt knows it wants to publish, but has no author for) and introduce them to the books acquisition editor.
Find authors of unpublished or self published content who might republish their material with Packt, and introduce them the appropriate acquisition editor.
Keep track of open discussions with authors and ensure that they are brought to a satisfactory conclusion.
Coordinate with Acquisition Editors to re-use authors when book projects are completed.
Work with the Packt Author-Reviewer Database adding new contacts, maintaining existing ones, and using it to find potential authors for AEs.
