 Network Engineer Trainee
Job Description     East West Bank is currently seeking an IT Trainee.  This is a once in lifetime opportunity for college graduates, who are passionate about network technology and hungry for opportunities to make a difference.  Once the candidate fulfills the training, he/she will be working in Asia (based in either HK or Shanghai) to support and maintain the network infrastructure which encompasses of but not limit to two data centers, one DR facility, back offices and branches.

Duties (not limited to):

Routing & switching:


    LAN
    WAN
    QoS
    VOI

Network security:


    IDS/IPS
    Firewall
    VPN

Others:


    WAN optimizer
    Load Balancer
    Link Controller
    Network management
    Maintains and supports network infrastructure
    Responsible for network performance
    Assists in the design of network solutions
    Analyzes network issues and makes recommendations Actively monitors network systems for malicious activity and attacks
    Assists in the development and implementation of network use policies and standards
    Acquire, install, and maintain hardware and software associated with local and wide area networks
    Participates in an on-call rotation for after-hour and weekend support
    Keeps abreast of new technologies and suggests their application where appropriate

Qualifications/Requirements:


    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred
    CCNA/CCNP certification preferred
    Read/Write/Speak Cantonese or Mandarin
    Must have verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
    Microsoft office Visio & Project experience
