THE FUNCTION:
You will join our core engineering team, which is fairly small, and will be responsible for architecting, designing, and developing Medallia's SaaS platform, the world's leading Enterprise Feedback Management application. Your mission is to integrate the best of Visualization, Data Mining, Text Mining, Data Analytics, and HTML5/Javascript into a revolutionary, engaging, high-performance platform. You will master the agile development process, techniques, and technology, and will write scalable, maintainable, efficient, and elegant code. You will actively participate in cutting-edge open-source technology and research.
THE ROLE:
We use natural language processing and text analytics for doing sentiment analysis; we use machine learning techniques for detecting cheaters and spammers; we use Voldemort to handle millions of responses at any given time; and we use our real-time in-houseOLAPengine to analyze and display terabytes of data.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design and implement systems and modules for our current product line
• Develop code that is scalable, maintainable, efficient, and elegant
• Master agile development process, techniques, and technology
• Contribute to the engineering environment and actively participate in cutting-edge open-source technology and research
• Find, define, and tackle difficult problems in the following areas: Mobile and Web Visualization, Data Mining, Text Mining, Real-Time Notifications, Data Analytics, Distributed Databases
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS/MS in computer science or other technical field
• 7+ years of experience
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Extreme passion for learning new technologies
• Expert coder (must write scalable, maintainable, efficient, and elegant code)
