Power Systems Engineer will perform power system engineering analysis of industrial, commercial, and utility electric power systems in the following areas: protective coordination, arc flash, design improvements low-voltage and medium voltage electrical distribution systems.

Responsibilities:

• Support upgrades of facilities electrical distribution system in conjunction with customer needs by performing electrical design improvements.

• Perform protection design for Electrical distribution / Generation projects

• Prepare written reports of findings andEvaluate analysis results, recommendations, and mitigate solutions.

• Utilize engineering skills and applicable codes and standards to implement electrical systems.

• Provide technical support and quality control. 

• Manage project timeline to ensure long term relationship with clients.

• Job may require travel to various customer locations to work with clients, and live applications.

Requirements:

• 2 - 4 years of cumulative experience (will consider new graduates) in power engineering studies and design experience in Industrial projects.

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from accredited university, Registered Professional Engineer is a plus.

• Engineering experience in a Consulting Engineering firm is recommended.

• Experience with electric power systems, short-circuit, protective coordination, load flow, motor starting, arc flash hazard analysis.

• Experience with project engineering proposals and customer's presentations.

• Experience with electrical design, protection knowledge, electrical layout and related systems processes. 

• Proven skills in written and oral communication

• Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, electrical system analysis software experience preferred using SKM, Easypower and/or ETAP. EDSA, Schweitzer and Multilin Relay experience is a plus.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, self motivated, and able to handle multiple tasks. Excellent presentation and written communication skills, time management and organizational skills are required. This position requires the ability to work under pressure, be self-directed with good business judgment and handle confidential information appropriately.
