Cash: 

To ensure that cash collections for the day are deposited in the bank on the immediate following day. 

To reconcile physical cash balances with the books of account

Payments:

AMD is looking for a Senior Manager in the CAS Developer Solutions Engineering (DSE) team. 
The DSE team is responsible for the following functions:

- Working with partner companies and open source projects to drive AMD focused optimizations into their solutions
- Identifying and exploiting opportunities to leverage strategic technologies such as Fusion APUs and OpenCL/GPU compute
- Implementing optimizations in developer and open source software, and/or assisting developers in doing so
- Supporting AMD's server computing strategy and roadmap development, from a technical perspective

The ideal candidate is a highly-skilled software engineering manager, fluent in C and C++ and parallel programming in Linux/Server environments. You are familiar with a wide range of application domains, you have worked with external developers before, and you understand what it takes to achieve a win-win partnership with them. You're team-oriented and motivated to do things other might find too difficult.


Job Duties:

- Provide goal-driven technical leadership to a team of software engineers
- Manage all aspects of the software engineering process, including requirements gathering, planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting
- Facilitate prioritization of requests from Alliance Managers, Business Units, Sales, and field engineering in a constantly changing environment
- Ensure that work being performed is in alignment with established AMD, CAS, and team goals and financial controls
- Ensure timely delivery of committed work products by the team
- Provide input/feedback on technical and business decisions
- Ensure communication and alignment with other AMD groups (Alliance Managers, Core Engineering, etc..)

Minimum Requirements:

- The preferred candidate should have a combination of relevant academic and professional experience
- The minimum qualifications associated with this position are a BS with 10+ years of experience in software development and at 5+ years in management
- Experience in C/C++ programming and Linux Application/Kernel development (RedHat, Suse, Ubuntu) and associated tools (gcc etc...)
- Experience in Agile project management
- Experience with software performance analysis and optimization
- Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (e.g. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google App Engine)
- Experience with hypervisor / virtual-machine technology (e.g. VMware, Xen, KVM). 
- Deep understanding of computer architecture, the x86 CPU, and BIOS software
- Excellent written / verbal communication skills and able to present AMD technology and product roadmaps in clear, understandable terms to partner engineers, technical marketing managers and executives

Position Summary

The Senior Software Engineer (.NET) will work in an agile team, researching, designing, developing, and testing high quality software, at the application or component level, including detailed documentation and knowledge transfer.
Under general supervision, and the software development guidelines and technology standards defined by the software development team, this position provides a technical expertise to develop, formulate/define specifications for, software applications, or modify/maintain existing applications, developed in-house or from a third-party.
This position requires 20% travel.
Primary Accountabilities
• Designing activity, codes, tests, debugs and documents complex operating software applications.
• Lead a team of developers and may provide direction and support to less experienced software engineers to orient them and increase their understanding of more complex software engineering.
• Maintains and increases professional and technical knowledge and currency by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
• Candidate should have 7+ years of development experience, with 5+ on .Net and 2+ on Java (Preferred, not mandatory) with the following skills
• Expertise in all aspects of large scale web application development ( coding, testing, deployment & maintenance) in fast paced environment
• Hands on experience implementing Service Oriented Architecture ( SOA ) using SOAP and/or Restful APIs
• Experience in porting .Net based application to Java/J2EE platform
• Experience with creating technical / functional requirements document and be able to understand development tasks from previously created technical documents
• Ability to understand the existing product and support it
• Ability to write SQL queries, stored procedures and create reports
• Experience with Agile Development / Scrum Methodologies
• Excellent communication and organizational skills. Be able to communicate effectively with both technical and business resources
