Designation Technical Lead Protocol Stack 2g/3g
Job Description In this position, you will be joining a fast paced development team responsible for designing, extending and optimizing the 2G/3G wireless communication protocol stack.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Technical leadership in the area of 2G/3G Protocol Stack (PS)
- Evaluate the impact of new features on the PS components and interfaces
- Definition of PS internal component architecture and interconnection of PS sub-components to meet the requirements of the system for Multimode Protocol Stacks
- Elaborate the related functional, design and interface specifications.
-Support of System Engineering in requirements break down to PS sub-component architecture
-Contribute to the overall Software Architecture Specification (UML)
-Steering of implementation of technical concepts, feature development and continuous improvements in Bangalore PS organisation
- Monitor and support 3GPP UMTS/LTE related standards and standardization work
-Support the analysis of complex system issues in the development organization
-Technical interface to internal development groups and functional project management
-Mentoring of team, giving guidance in design and system behavior, coaching of new employees
Desired Profile -University / University of applied sciences or a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent
-9+ years overall industry experience,
-7+ years development experience in the area of 2G/3G Protocol Stack development in the mobile cellular mobile industry
-5+ years experience in 3GPP 2G/3G system architecture, protocol specifications, related procedures in control / data plane and related modeling techniques
-5+ Years Programming skills (C/C++) in MS-Windows or Linux environment for 2G/3G protocol layers
Excellent knowledge in the following areas:
- 2G/3G 3GPP system architecture, protocol specifications and related procedures in control and data plane on Non-Access, Acces-Stratum and Layer 1 level
- Mapping of requirements to architectural elements and related system design
- Knowledge of Finite State Machine design and related programming techniques (e.g. in SDL)
- Programming skills (C) in MS-Windows or Linux environment for the 2G/3G protocol layers
-Proficient in RTOS concepts
-Ability to present proposed implementation strategy
-Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills
-Knowledge of tools for architecture definition, source code control and defect tracking would be of additional advantage
