Job Description

IT Data Centre manager with a strong M&E background and experience, especially around key areas like Tiering a building & facilities, SPOF analysis, understanding of how UPS, generators, power & phasing works. A background in cabling design was also useful.

Ensure that there is continual engagement with the CSS teams and Corporate Real Estate group to capture data on the global facilities

Gather information and understanding of the co-location Data Centre market in USA, UK, UAE, Africa,South Korea, India, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Indonesia,

Update the database of information about these facilities for internal use

Work with Head of facilities and the capacity management team to ensure that the global Data Centre estate is able to sustain the electrical and mechanical demands placed on it by project and BAU initiatives

Ensure that facility infrastructure related risks are identified

Support cost savings and cost avoidance of infrastructure capacity wherever possible

Track issues and root causes of failures are identified and put forward options to addressed, and changes are implemented flawlessly

Develop relationships with IT vendors and partners for the benefit of the firm.
